• Carson Newman University Carson Newman University program online provided a good blend of in person required fundamentals training as well as online learning. Lectures were live the majority of the time and offered questions and answers. They helped me to secure my clinical placements throughout the course and were very approachable attentive and responsive throughout the program. This is not an online NP mill like some programs. I felt well prepared to enter my new career and passed my boards the first attempt. - Alum
• For the adult learner This program is for the self-driven adult learner. Carson Newman's program is sensitive of time and flexible. The APEA review course prepares students more than adequately for the certification. - Alum
• Great program The skills lab was the most practical preparation for real world practice. Also the on campus assessments were very helpful. Overall well prepared me for this new journey. 9 years CCRN prior. I do feel that I could conduct research even tho this is a MSN program. - Alum
• Preceptor assistance The school markets to help with preceptor Placement. I don’t receive any assistance and had to find a preceptor myself. I ended up having to pay for one myself. Some of my classmates did receive assistance from the school and I believe it’s because they lived close to the program. I lived out of state. But excellent program. Money well spent. - Alum
• Good foundation, and personal experience I did secure my own preceptorship which was conveniently located in my home town. The experience provided me with skills, confidence and knowledge as my preceptor also met with me to go over patient charts weekly. So I was not only preparing case studies for my school, I was having to be prepared to review weekly. Great experience. - Alum
