4 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Great Experience I had a great experience at Cal State Fullerton. The women’s health concentration was a small program with instructors who are personally invested in students. They found all of my preceptors, and if a preceptorship experience was not living up to the expectations of the program, they worked hard to find another placement - Alum
- Good experience I really appreciate it how difficult it is for programs to find preceptors and clinical/hospital sites for students. With this is mind, I thought CSUF did a great job at finding sites for their students, at no extra cost. Given the cost of tuition was that of Cal State and they secured preceptorship at no extra cost was amazing. I think all students have mixed experiences when doing a MSN program and during a rigorous training, however for how much the instructors cared and again to have the site selection covered, I would 100% choose this school if I had to do it all over again. - Alum
- CNM/WHNP Program Amazing instructors with real world experience. Small class sizes. I worked 12hr hospital shifts, 2-3/wk through the program. Lots of practical skills/hands on. Internship was invaluable, my preceptor was brilliant and really shaped my practice and who I am as a provider. - Alum
- lack of flexibility The program starts slow, so you can work at the beginning; however the last year of the program it gets very hard to manage work, school and clinicals. You need to be flexible because you will be following your preceptor's schedule. It was very helpful that the school pair you up with a preceptor/clinic/hospital instead of you having to find those on your own. - Alum
