7 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Spendy with some kinks At the time of my study, the program was going through some changes in faculty. I would say I had great prep on Phys and Pathophys and poor prep on Pharmacology, which was a standard feeling across our cohort. Clinical placement was arranged through the school, which was still a challenge with delays in starting due to lack of clinical sites. Depending on your DNP project area of interest, there are some great faculty to assist with that. - Alum
- Best program. The midwifery program at the University of Minnesota was exceptional in every aspect. Not only did it offer unwavering support throughout, it also provided abundant resources and scholarships, ensuring financial barriers did not hinder my education. The clinical sites were diverse and well chosen, offering invaluable hands on experience. Preceptor support was outstanding, guiding us through every step to build our skills. The program prepared us to competent midwives equipping us with skills and knowledge necessary for our profession. - Alum
- Comprehensive The program was comprehensive with insight into evidence base alternative approaches to patient care and the psychotherapy part of the program was exceptional. This program prepared me to be an independent provider, starting on day one of graduation, which happened to me! - Alum
- Good foundation for my role as a PNP Our program focused on the normal findings when examining a well child: physically, mentally, developmentally. This was to assist us in recognizing the abnormal findings, when to consult with a physician, when/how to plan for intervention as needed. - Alum
- Incredible Program The University of MN PMHNP program is truly everything I could have possibly wanted. The instructors are smart and acutely aware of the current realities of practice. They push you to grow and challenge your thinking. This is what ultimately prepared me to jump into practice. You will learn a lot in a program, but they cannot teach you everything, so a program that teaches you to ask the right questions and how to look for answers is the truest sign of a quality program. The long lasting partnerships they have with high quality preceptors is also a testament to the program. They match you with a good fit, no calling around, hoping anyone will accept you. Preceptors know they will be supported and are excited to have students. Finally, they invest in you as a person, ensuring self care so that you are positioned to have a long and healthy career when you leave. I could not possibly say more positive things about these instructors and their commitment to high quality education. - Alum
