9 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Samford NP program I had to find my own preceptors, however when one backed out 2 days before I was to start the program set me up with a new one. There was no help securing a job. Program overall was very good. - Alum
- My Samford experience The quality of classes were exceptional. Content was relevant; teachers were always present and accessible; material was thoroughly explained; and tests were overall correlating with the subject matter taught. Finding preceptors was challenging because little assistance was provided in aiding students to find one. There was, however, a comprehensive list of providers who already had contracts established with the school. This somewhat helped students have a starting point in finding someone. - Alum
- Great program The hybrid program allowed me to work and attend class virtually and do my clinical rotations locally. Faculty was very supportive and I was well prepared for board exams. The biggest downside was having to find my own preceptors. - Alum
- Times were different I received my MSN-FNP in 2010. I had a wonderful experience at Samford. The professors were very hands-on. It was a hybrid program at the time and on-campus exams were required. Times were much different. I did not have to pay anyone for precepting me. Samford provided a list of possible preceptors. It was long enough to where I had a fairly easy time locating one. The economy was slightly better so the cost of attendance was more reasonable for a private school. I don't think I could afford to attend if I were choosing a school today. Overall I am extremely happy with my choice. - Alum
- Great program and staff All the staff really wanted the students to succeed. They were available and willing to help! - Alum
