- Good program overall Good program remember all there were some really great teachers. I had to find my own clinical sites, but I’m sure it’s fine. I’ve gotten stuck. They would’ve helped me. I had good connections. Workload was very manageable. The clinical courses were excellent. The were some courses that I felt were not valuable at all to a practicing nurse practitioner and we’re more based on Research your academics. I would not have minded a slightly more vigorous courseload in the actual clinical curriculum, but I think looking at other programs this one is above average, I think it’s more with nurse practitioner programs overall. - Alum
- Great Experience! I had a great experience at JMU. My professors were so helpful and truly cared. I have never been apart of a nursing program that was as supportive as they were. It was such a great experience! - Alum
- JMU was amazing. I thought finding my own preceptor would be beneficial, however it was not. They did help me when I couldn't find someone on my own, which was nice. i was extremely well prepared for my boards. i would recommended anyone to go to JMU for their master's in nursing. - Alum
- Great Program I had a wonderful experience at JMU. All professors are wonderful, helpful, accommodating and truly want the students to succeed. I wish there was time for more preceptorship hours - in all NP programs, not just JMU. I felt as if I was just getting into a great flow in my preceptorships and then the hours were complete. Otherwise, I could not have asked for a better experience than the one I received at JMU. The program prepared me well for my certification exam. - Alum
- Small program My cohort was only around 12 students. This allowed for a very personalized experience where students received exactly the training they needed. I was very prepared for boards and my career. Relative to other programs, it was not competitive to get in and was very affordable. I was able to work part time. All in all it was great - Alum
