8 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- UCCS Family NP Program This program was entirely online and allowed me to stay at home, in Boise, ID while completing degree requirements. The hardest part was finding all my own clinical placements and preceptorship. I felt like I spent more time begging my fellow professionals to take me on than I did on anything else. The program adequately prepared me for my exams, but definitely has limitations on real life work experiences with it being remote. - Alum
- UCCS FNP program Great program for the price. I did not have to travel there. I did have to set up all my own preceptorships. - Alum
- The Program Assistant is Fantastic! While the instructors were great the Program Assistant during my time was really the shinning star. Diane Busch was always available to help with program questions, placement/preceptor needs and issues, as well as follow up after the program was completed. Great program! - Alum
- Not well prepared I feel like I paid for my degree and wrote a lot of papers. There was no assistance finding preceptors. Thankfully, I graduated in 2007 when the market was not quite as saturated and it was not as hard to find preceptors-it wasn't easy but not near as hard as it is now. I think the program needs to be more rigorous to produce competent NPs upon graduation. Also, classes should be more focused on our clinical practice, not more nursing theory classes-we had that in our BSN program. - Alum
- Excellent program The program was excellent, and the professors were amazing. I felt well prepared for my first position. My one criticism would be that finding preceptors was extremely helpful and I did not receive help for university in locating qualified preceptors. - Alum
