Great preceptors and teachers! Self search for clinical sites provides you with an individualized program that you build yourself. Expectations are set from the beginning. Always staying on the schedule and agenda. Hard to work at the same time but very much possible. Very cost effective!

it's up to you
I continued to work through my degree and I secured quite a few of my clinical experiences, though GSU helped tremendously with a few of them. Imo, with any degree, you are responsible for your learning and experiences - it's up to you to be the provider you want to be. GSU provided me with the basics and I took the initiative to optimize my education and clinical skills and experience. I left school with no debt and feeling capable of being a good NP.

Great experience
Finding a preceptor was the hardest part of the program. They did give us leads but all of my preceptors were found by me. This did make me a better communicator and self advocate. Overall it was a great experience.

It was an overall ok experience.
Preceptors charged way too much money.Program coordinators need to assist more in finding preceptorship. Instructors need to teach more opposed to just giving directions.

I worked 6 hours 1-2 days a week, very hard finding preceptors, the list that was provided by GSU was very outdated. Work load and papers were overloaded.
