- Lots of good, some bad, overall a good program Good program. The online group classes were a good sight better than others programs that teach by post only. A couple of classes were "fluff" and one class was a downright waste of time that focused on telling people how they should be voting, how to lobby, and was so out of context with the rest of the program that I requested a meeting with the course head who informed me the class had recently been mandated by the ANCC and ANA and not the school. The research portion was adequate and not overwhelming, especially for someone who by that point was downright sick of research and writing. My support person at the school changed a couple times and, by the time I was one year from graduating no longer was in touch regularly so I had to search out some things on my own. The school provided preceptors and connected us, so that was a big plus. - Alum
- It was a very hands on program Helping me secure the preceptorships and complete needed paper work for the preceptorships, while I learning, working and studying, was worth the extra cost. - Alum
- Expensive disappointment I chose this program for its prestige among the Boston-area NP programs. Most of the courses were self guided learning and often reiterated by “professors” (although few held doctorate degrees) that a graduate program is “adult style learning” and most of the onus is on the student. Most classes were PowerPoint lectures and seldom interactive. Wording in exams was confusing and often wordy, misleading you to the incorrect answer. Very few instructors were friendly enough to become a mentor to their students. Clinical placements was a disaster, having found a majority of placements on my own. COVID hit and threw a wrench into the problem and most of our classes graduated 3-4 months past anticipated date. Overall, would think twice about selecting this graduate program. The accelerated BSN portion I think was much better. - Alum
- Excellent program. The professors were outstanding and had extensive clinical experience which enhanced their teaching! The program prepared me well for my career as a nurse practitioner. - Alum
- Good Education but pricey The increase in salary wasn't quite enough to be able to comfortably pay back my student loans. So, now I work 2 FNP jobs. The education was good, but about $20,000 more than I was quoted before I enrolled. A grand total of $80,000. I am grateful the education I received was as good as it was, but it was really very expensive. - Alum
