- Would definitely choose again to be my Alma Mater! The student culture is very supportive! Adjunct faculty helped students with networking and advice. I very well prepared for certification testing and my class had 100% pass rate! - Alum
- Overall recommend the program I think instructors were knowledgable and supportive. I found the in-person labs and assessment classes very helpful esp the classes and evals done at EVMS medical school. Was difficult to get good preceptors. Had to find a few on my own which was not easy - Alum
- I’m Grateful for my FNP MSN degree I found my own preceptors since I was a distance learning student—but I didn’t have much trouble finding them since I had lots of local resources. My MSN FNP curriculum was 90% distance learning—and I was grateful I could participate from my rural community. The program was well organized and I passed boards on first attempt. I recommend ODU for your NP education. - Alum
- Old Dominion University I had been an RN for 10 years prior to going to ODU (a requirement). It was a good program. At that time, they set you up with preceptor which made it much easier, as I came there from another state and did not know anyone. I would never have been able to be successful in the program without prior nursing experience. - Alum
- Program I went full time and worked part time as program was heavy with classroom and clinical hours. I had to find own preceptors. - Alum
