6 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Preparation for role as NP This program enabled me to continue to work which provided more experience, have camaraderie/support with fellow np students within the class setting as well as distance learning. The instructors were a positive role model and were available for mentoring. I was confident in taking boards and approaching the NP workforce! - Alum
- DNP, FNP-BC Accelerated post-Masters DNP program. Capstone project expectations were reasonable and staff were very supportive throughout the program. - Alum
- Would definitely choose again to be my Alma Mater! The student culture is very supportive! Adjunct faculty helped students with networking and advice. I very well prepared for certification testing and my class had 100% pass rate! - Alum
- Overall recommend the program I think instructors were knowledgable and supportive. I found the in-person labs and assessment classes very helpful esp the classes and evals done at EVMS medical school. Was difficult to get good preceptors. Had to find a few on my own which was not easy - Alum
- I’m Grateful for my FNP MSN degree I found my own preceptors since I was a distance learning student—but I didn’t have much trouble finding them since I had lots of local resources. My MSN FNP curriculum was 90% distance learning—and I was grateful I could participate from my rural community. The program was well organized and I passed boards on first attempt. I recommend ODU for your NP education. - Alum
