11 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- Graduated in 2002 so it was a great small group. Al of my clinics rotations were set up for me. I did not have to look for any. I hear about how hard it is to find clinical spots so I am very grateful that I didn’t have to look. - Alum
- Highly recommend They helped find my preceptors but they were also open to my requests. The classes were in the evening so I was able to work. Some online classes. Good advisors - Alum
- Solid, supportive program I attended SXU part time while working full time and having both of my children. While it was a busy and stressful time, the faculty (all but one, who has since been let go ), were supportive and cared about my success. SXU found clinical placements for us at no additional cost. This was a huge plus of the program, as I have heard from colleagues about the struggles they had finding (and paying for) their own placements in other programs. I have consistently held an NP job since graduating, and feel as though I was well prepared to enter work as an FNP and continue learning on the job. - Alum
- Saint Xavier FNP Program SXU's FNP Program is outstanding. I did not have to secure any preceptors. The faculty to student ratio is small and all of my professors knew me by name. I felt prepared to take my FNP exam (ANCC) and got a position as an NP very quickly after graduation. - Alum
- Great Experience I had a wonderful experience in the FNP program at Saint Xavier University. The instructors were consistently supportive, knowledgeable, and truly invested in our success. Their willingness to help and their ongoing involvement made a huge difference throughout my educational journey. If I could suggest one area for growth, it would be additional support with securing clinical preceptors. The process was particularly challenging during the COVID-19 pandemic, and more structured assistance in that area would have been incredibly helpful. Overall, I’m very grateful for the education I received and feel well-prepared for my role as a nurse practitioner. - Alum
