- Great program It was a great program especially prior to Going full online. I preferred hybrid status. Teachers were great, approachable and always present. One clinical instructor was hard to work with. Help with finding preceptors would have been superb - Alum
- Help students arrange preceptorships Honestly, back when I went to school there weren't the number of students that there are now. I was able to arrange great preceptorships, but schools are now going to have to take a more active role in the education process, rather than having students fend for themselves. The schools really have no idea of the quality of education their students are even receiving. - Alum
- Summary It pretty much was self guidance and teaching. Clinical placement was all left to yourself to find. Got me to where I wanted to be. I went in person for my FNP and that was a whole different experience. I would highly recommend their program for the FNP program. I think it’s online everywhere that is not up to par as being taught in person. - Alum
- Preceptors We were required to secure our own preceptors. They had established and maintained relationships with area clinics which made this easier. I only had difficulty with one placement and had to rely on my own networking. I was given suggestions which resulted in secured placement for most of my program. - Alum
- Good Experience The responsibility lies upon the student to secure a preceptor but if the student is unable to find one in time before clinicals start then faculty has been known to provide options as well. Luckily I was blessed to already have a preceptor that I knew I would follow for clinicals. I was able to work full time as a nurse during the first half of the program but due to having to commute out of state for my preceptor, I had to switch to PRN once clinical rotations started. This was by choice though and I had several colleagues that continued working full-time throughout the program. I feel the program did prepare me to pass the ANCC licensing exam but I did do a prep program (Fitzgerald) that was able to refresh my knowledge. Based on my knowledge, everyone in my cohort passed the ANCC exam on the first take. - Alum
