5 reviews collected from current residents and alumni.- UNC DNP Program * I had to find my own clinical experiences * Some faculty lacked the perspective of the working student (it’s designed as a part time program) * It IS a part time program for working students * It IS affordable - Alum
- UNC FNP program I enjoyed my small cohort at University of Northern Colorado in the family nurse practitioner program. I would have appreciated more help with finding preceptors, especially because I was new to the area and did not know any providers personally. I think that has changed somewhat now as I have UNC reaching out to me to precept students. I passed my boards on the first try and had my first NP job secured before I graduated (I did that on my own). - Alum
- Top Notch The Professors are amazing and truly were absorbed and dedicated to our academic journey. It was a wonderful experience! I recently went elsewhere for Post Masters education and realized how grateful and fortunate I was to obtain my previous degree at University of Northern Colorado. - Alum
- First year school had issues We were the first year for the DNP School. We should have gotten our Master and then on to DNP. But it wasn’t set that way so we couldn’t work until all was completed. They have changed it which is much better. We had to get our own preceptors. I never got an OBGYN preceptor and felt unprepared. Again all has changed but the first class had to go through a lot. - Alum
- Great experience Had a great experience. You get out of it as much as you put in. - Alum
