- Good education, but challenging to find preceptors Overall a good experience. Finding preceptors was challenging and stressful every semester. May not have gone there if I knew how challenging it would be. - Alum
- Good Investment I would recommend the online/in person program at UND. I had no problem with preceptor placement and had clinicals with a variety of practitioners including family practice, walk in clinic, midwife, nephrology and pediatrics to name a few. Would recommend the program for someone who would like to continue working or need s to continue working while attaining further education. - Alum
- Manageable Workload, Poor Real World Prep UND’s psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program is entirely online. While the course workload was manageable preparation for real world practice and board exams felt limited. Expectations varied between professors and their own syllabi creating inconsistency, though grading was fair. Educational preparation for clinicals was in adequate (as was supervision and feedback by professor during clinicals). Transitioning into practice required substantial additional self directed learning. The online program primarily consisted of reading and completing assignments. Many of the quizzes and tests were open book, which was nice in the short term but lacked need to memorize and understand material. Video lectures were uncommon. Communication from faculty was generally timely, but responses were sometimes too broad to provide meaningful clarification. - Alum
- Not sure what tuition was for - There was no lecture in the program. If I wanted lecture I had to go on YouTube and find a creator. I should not have had to teach myself with the cost of tuition - One semester of pharmacology wasn't enough especially when half of the semester was spent on drugs I can't prescribe as a PMHNP - There was very little time spent on case formulation and diagnosing - Class time was wasted on activities that have nothing to do being a PMHNP - There were a lot of group projects. As practicing RN's we know how to work as a team. Expecting people who have families, are working, and live in different states to collaborate on a project is unnecessary and complicated - Professors were unapproachable - I finished the program feeling woefully unprepared with a lot to learn - Alum
- Online program not adequate preparation The program was easy and cheap. But the quality of the education was not adequate to prepare me to be a competent clinician. - Alum
