- Investing in ourselves is always worth it USF arranged precepting for me. It worked out well in my area for majority. I drove further for pediatrics. NP education lacks in good preparation with diagnostic testing and interpretation, hands on procedures and differentials. My opinion is at masters level we should be in similar classes and prep as med school or PA programs. Too much time still wasted in nursing theory and foundational nursing concepts that were taught multiple times before this level of education. I relied heavily on my experience as a working RN to manage subacute patients and learned as I went on other areas - Alum
- USF APRN Program Great program. The staff did place us with preceptor back then. It was a great program. - Alum
- Exceptional learning opportunities I felt like USF has many different learning opportunities between our Simulation lab on campus as well as computerized simulation training. The faculty are all top notch and it was a great experience for me. - Alum
- Preceptorship The school provided the preceptors to each student at no extra cost. - Alum
- I had no assistance from my program director. If you are thinking about USF, head the other way. Don’t waste your time and money. The faculty was never available for assistance. Many unreturned messages. Parking is atrocious. My fellow students were just as disappointed as I was. I scored a 4.0 GPA and was well liked by my preceptors. Everything I learned about being a nurse practitioner was when I got my first job. - Alum
